So THAT's what you've been up to

So I haven't been on here much lately, mostly because I've been extremely busy. So what have I been doing that is keeping me so busy you ask?? Well I have been basically starting a business. Let's back track a little. I went to college for Fashion Design and Merchandising and for the past number of years I haven't done much with my degree but without trying I have basically started a business right out of my house. There is a great need for basic sewing skills. I have had the great opportunity to do some really great projects and the work just keeps pouring in. So as I get my self organized and get some business cards and start generating business then I'll be able to officially call my self in business but for right now I'm just working on the good old standard 'Word of Mouth'. So THAT's what I've been up to. Once I get some pictures organized then I can post some of the stuff that I've been working on.

I'm a Perfectionist

I'm a Perfectionist and it's killing me. But the first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have one. That being said, it's not actually killing me but there are moments when it feels like it is. What can I say, I like order, I like it to be done promptly and without deviating from how I want it. (My kids just don't seem to get it) Being the mother of 3 older daughters and then a son, I thought I had the 'terrible twos' figured out. I DON'T! Boys are so different from girls. Now I don't need you to shake your head at me and roll your eyes and say 'DUH' but really they are so different. It started about 2 weeks ago when Gage started getting into mischief when I was nursing the baby. O.K. whatever, but it's only escalating and I know that the biggest reason for it is Archer (the baby) but what can I do about it. Discussions of the future

My oldest had the opportunity to attend a University and College tour in Lethbridge for the past 3 days. With her return home this evening we had the lovely opportunity to discuss school options and life after high school. How did I get here?? I can't believe that I'm having this kind of a discussion with my 15 year old. What a wonderful evening. We talked about trying to decide what kind of courses you want to take and trying to find a school that matches what you are wanting to learn and study. I feels like it was only yesterday that I was trying to make these same decisions. What do I want to learn and where do I want to go? As the queen of my domain I have been moving forward in life raising kids and doing the day to day things that have to be done. All of a sudden time has caught up to me and we are discussing schools, post secondary education, life at college/university. So a month ago I was contacted by My Memory Suite , a digital scrapbooking software company. They asked me if I would be interested in checking out their product and then doing a review for them on my blog. So here I am and I gotta tell you I love what they've got! First of all I'm not a scrapbooker (at least not a good one). I love the look of scrapbooking and I wish I was better at it but I struggle greatly on the 2 dimensional plain. 3D I can do, but I struggle with 2D. Anyways, this program is great for me. There are two great aspects of it that work well for me. First of all they have pages that are already made, put together and ready to go you just drop your pictures into the frames and voila! your done. The second aspect that I really like is that if you are wanting to build your own page you can put stuff on the page and take stuff off without any hassle.
