Our New House

I know that I said a very long time ago that I was going to post pictures of our house inside and out. Well we had to take some pictures to send to the insurance company and so I now have some pictures to post of the outside of the house. Once I get my house clean (hopefully sometime before school goes back in september) I will try to get some pictures up of the inside as well.

This is from the south side of our house, essentially the front of the house.



This a better shot of the veranda that wraps around the front of the house. I can't wait until I can afford to put up a swinging bench or get some rocking chairs for out there or something so that we can enjoy the veranda!




The house came with beautiful mature trees in the front and this great hedge that runs up the east side. The two huge windows that you can see are in the dining room and then the back entry. We use the back entry because at back end of the house is where the garage and the back yard are and we park back there and come in the back door. It's a lovely house that was built in 1910 and we are so in love with it. Over time this house will become what it once was!

Here we go!

So a month ago I was contacted by My Memory Suite , a digital scrapbooking software company. They asked me if I would be interested in checking out their product and then doing a review for them on my blog. So here I am and I gotta tell you I love what they've got! First of all I'm not a scrapbooker (at least not a good one). I love the look of scrapbooking and I wish I was better at it but I struggle greatly on the 2 dimensional plain. 3D I can do, but I struggle with 2D. Anyways, this program is great for me. There are two great aspects of it that work well for me. First of all they have pages that are already made, put together and ready to go you just drop your pictures into the frames and voila! your done. The second aspect that I really like is that if you are wanting to build your own page you can put stuff on the page and take stuff off without any hassle. I'm a Perfectionist

I'm a Perfectionist and it's killing me. But the first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have one. That being said, it's not actually killing me but there are moments when it feels like it is. What can I say, I like order, I like it to be done promptly and without deviating from how I want it. (My kids just don't seem to get it) Being the mother of 3 older daughters and then a son, I thought I had the 'terrible twos' figured out. I DON'T! Boys are so different from girls. Now I don't need you to shake your head at me and roll your eyes and say 'DUH' but really they are so different. It started about 2 weeks ago when Gage started getting into mischief when I was nursing the baby. O.K. whatever, but it's only escalating and I know that the biggest reason for it is Archer (the baby) but what can I do about it. Oh, Very Crafty!

I have battled my own form of self inflicted depression... essentially not allowing myself to find joy in things that I do because in my sub conscious mind I must not give any of my energy to anything other than tending to and rearing my children. This is even more brazen in my face when my husband is working away from home. I have been able to find some peace in my soul and with the help my Father in Heaven, some self reflection, and  Young Living Essential Oils , I've been able to feel like I can give some energy to things that bring me joy. Well tonight, after a week and a half of trying to find the things I wanted, I created a fall wreath for my house! I love it! My sister called me while I was working... I will confess that I was watching an Ashley Tisdale chick flick while I was crafting and I almost squealed with delight to tell her I was crafting!! It feels so great. So will out further adieu I present my new fall wreath!
